Colombia earthquake death toll climbs to 281, more than 12,000 h

So scary! Has anyone ever been in an earthquake? I never have and want to keep it that way!

@West-Tex: Yes. But not of that magnitude. Was in college dorm at night, sleeping, when the bed shook enough to wake me. The movement was scary, but the low, continuous rumble of the growling earth was more frightening. No damage to the dorm, but a few car alarms went off. At first we thought it was the boiler in the dorm's basement but soon got word of a tremor.

I think I'd rather deal with hurricanes than earthquakes!
