Best urgent care?

@AMCLady: Last winter, I used NextCare Urgent Care on 1960 in Atascocita as a walk-in. It took about an hour to wait, but they were helpful, efficient and pleasant. USE CAUTION WHEN LOOKING FOR URGENT CARE FACILITIES! If they have the word EMERGENCY OR ER in the name, stay away unless you want to be billed exorbitant amounts which are sometimes not covered by insurance. They charge like they are hospitals' Emergency Rooms. Good luck finding what you need.

@KathyMarshall : They don't usually accept Medicare either.

We use Next Level because it's free to go there with our insurance. We've been seen quickly and received great care for minor illnesses and they also did a fabulous job on stitching up a nasty cut for me.

Once went to Memorial Herman ER and was told I had a broken finger and to wrap it with a bandage. Walked out the door with a 1,000.00 and change after insurance was applied.

@Catmae: You are correct. Essential to know ahead of time which insurance, if any, they accept!

NextLevel almost killed me. Prescribed an inhaler that contained sulfa, and they knew that I was allergic to that drug.

@+1 : I heartily second Next Level. There may be a wait due to staff levels but they're great.

Next Level is who I use. Even as my primary because it's free with my insurance. Had a little emergency that actually landed me in the hospital a couple weeks ago. Took one look at me , whipped me in immediately, did a thorough triage and got me to the ER. Have always had wonderful service.

I have Medicare advantage and NextCare urgent Care took my insurance thank goodness. Not only was it convenient but the place was very clean and the folks were very nice.
