Sounds like we have a solid 2 out of the 100s of cars verifiable . Care to cite the source on the 9999 out on 10000 instances , I hope they don't use it in court when I file suit
Actually it's premature for me to state that now but something stinks. Car was running great, until I filled up there. I will have to get a sample and go through the motions of filing a complaint with TDL&R and valero

I did stop by the station and asked just now had there had been complaints and the worker said it was his first day

9,999 out of 10,000 instances, this ends up being something wrong with the car or something the owner did inadvertently. The state keeps track of these instances when reported. I would like to see the states response and tests. There should be 100s of cars with issues if the gas is actually bad. Contacting Valero won't do anything. Valero is a licensed brand and the gas at most stations is not the "brand" they are. Most fuels are blends and the only thing that makes it "Shell" or "Chevron" is propriety additives put in after transport.

brightlights : absolutely not yet. Notice. He's already said that he hasn't even got it tested yet to see if that is the issue.

If that is the problem, that really sucks and he's due some money and restitution.

But it's just like credit cards, everyone always blames the last place that they used it for having it compromised. Very rarely that's the issue. They're usually compromised months before you're ever fleeced.

Yup, two posts above yours . Stopped in and made a purchase, I like the gas station and it's super convenient to go to for gas and beer . The situation just sucks

Happened to me about 30 years ago. Filled up my gas tank and made it about two or 3 miles before it conked out.
I was out of town and had to use a little repair shop there. They correctly guessed which gas station I had been to, stating that every time it rained their gas tanks would take in water.
It took me several weeks to get the company to reimburse me. It just so happened to be a company in Houston.
