Atascocita Traffic Stop Leads to DWI Arrest with Children in Vehicle
A Harris County deputy arrested a driver on June 2 after an investigation revealed she was allegedly intoxicated while transporting two young children. Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a meet-the-officer call related to a traffic stop in the 19400 block of Pinehurst Trail Drive. During the investigation, the driver, identified as Catrina Gentry, showed multiple signs of impairment. Deputies also discovered that a 4-year-old child and a 1-year-old child were passengers in the vehicle. After conducting Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, deputies determined Gentry was intoxicated and obtained a blood specimen for analysis. Investigators further learned she had a prior Driving While Intoxicated conviction. Gentry was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger. Bond was set at $10,000 by the 180th District Court

I hope the kids were OK. Someone who doesn't have the brain cells working enough to know that she's too impaired to drive may not bother with proper safety seats for them. I'm sure the police called for a safe ride to a safe destination for them. Glad that she was pulled over by an alert law enforcement officer. That could have ended very badly.
I remember back in the day when most all the DWI/DUI arrests were men....Ladies not only getting in on the action now, but owning that stat these days!.... What happened?....
