Atascocita Man Wanted For Injury To Child

The Harris County PCT 4 Constable's Office is looking for John Moellenkamp after he allegedly assaulted a 14-year-old at his Atascocita home on Tuesday.

According to reports from PCT 4, on November 20, 2018, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to the 4800 block of Dappled Grove Trail in Atascocita in reference to a disturbance.

Upon deputies arriving, witnesses stated that a known suspect, John Moellenkamp (35, Atascocita), had assaulted a 14-year-old juvenile.

The investigation revealed that during a verbal altercation, John Moellenkamp grabbed the juvenile by the hair and continuously banged the juvenile's head against the wall. John Moellenkamp fled the scene before deputies arrived and is currently wanted.

The juvenile suffered minor injuries.

"John Moellenkamp is currently wanted by law enforcement for Injury to a Child. He received No Bond out of the 338th District Court. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts, you are urged to contact our dispatch (or your local law enforcement." - Constable Mark Herman

What did the kid do to make him so crazy? No matter what, he is wrong. Minor injuries for the kid says he didn't slam him too hard, doesn't it? Head to wall lots of time should be a lot of injuries.

@AtascaGuy : He sure does look different in this picture . His nose in this picture looks fatter then in the 1st pic . Looks like he dies his hair ? With his look being so very different I don't know how the officers can pick out these folks . He may change his looks again you never know .

@bbk : Everyone was poking fun at the perp's name, John Moellenkamp, which sounds like an older singer from the 80s/90s, John Cougar Mellencamp (hence, all the lyric puns). The pic that @AtascaGuy posted is of the singer, John Cougar Mellencamp.

@brightlights : I knew for some reason I had heard that name before . It's just not a common name & just could not figure it out . Tried to call DH thinking it was a name I heard when we were in the military . And we were over seas 1968 through end of 1970 . We use to laugh about picking out the new wives that had just come . One came over singing Jesus Christ Superstar. Said it was a (( rock opera ))which I had never before heard of . Meaning even using the word opera & rock together . Use the word Opera & Maria Callaus yes ! But rock opera no . Thanks for explaning brightlights .
