Atascocita Child riding scooter hit by car in Atascocita neighbo

Geez .... I just checked the route I walked to and from high school. It was .6 mile, but felt more like 4 miles. Of course, I carried every single book home and back, just so I wouldn't have to walk upstairs to my locker every day, lol.Also, my route had me crossing Telephone Road..... VERY busy road.

I checked my elementary, everything else was way too far. It was .7 and it felt longer too. I can't imagine 2 miles.

I'm the kid who got hit surprisingly got out 5 hours later got a fracture arm,broken nose,torn ligament and sliced lip just glad I survived for context yes there is a bus taking me to Ahs but I missed the bus today and had to take my scooter driver didn't show an ounce of remorse

MrsT : I just checked my elementary. It says 1.1 mile, and that seemed even longer, to such a little short kid. One time I was running late and had to wear my Girl Scout uniform to school. I always saw the city busses pick people up and drive them somewhere, and thought it could probably take me to school. I rode that bus until I ended up in the 3rd Ward, downtown Houston. Scariest time of my life. They helped me by taking me back to where I got on. Ended up even later to school, having had to walk anyway. I was so dumb.Lot's of folks on this bus, just staring, wondering what this little white girl and a Girl Scout uniform was doing riding that bus ....

My mom used to ride the bus in downtown Ft Worth alone in elementary school. I can't imagine my kids even being able to navigate that.
