@ParksideRes : I'm hoping that demand also improves after this panicdemic passes.

Still working from home since March 20th and will likely be doing so into 2021, possibly until retirement.

@ParksideRes : Well I'm the Director of Marketing & Advertising for an OEM so it's really affected my workload.

@TheCatsMeow : I can certainly understand that. I'm just afraid production will glut again and back to square one.

@ParksideRes : I think a lot depends on the outcome of the Presidential re-election.

@TheCatsMeow : honestly, I don't see an effect. There never really is. It's a commodity.

Done it the last 12 yrs, still remember our Agency office mgr 12 yrs ago kept confirming how far KW was from the office, she finally told me "I'm trying to get you to agree to work from home cause if I have to kick one of these ladies out of there office to give you an office like Sam (our boss) told me to do it's going to reap havoc for both of us" Emoticon. Hell yea, VPN me up boss.
About 5 yrs ago we decreased our office space and we still had 3 agents with an office there, they we're **** when they kicked them oiut and told them to home office. I tried to tell them how much they were going to love it, buy you a printer/fax, a desk, and your done.
Can't list all the benefits. but there are lots.

@ParksideRes : Too much to discuss on here. But it was actually affected when the Russians and Saudi got involved.

@TheCatsMeow : yes, that certainly didn't help but was just tip of iceberg. We had local issues to the US that tanked it too.

Was just told today that those of us that aren't in the office by Oct 1st (several have doctor's notes saying they shouldn't be working around a group) will be put on short-term disability for 6 weeks and when that time ends they will go case by case based on your "underlying" issues that are keeping you from coming into the office to work. I guess that's when you find out you don't have a job with the company anymore! WoW

@bap : I don' have any underlying issues so I was back on July 27th full time in the office downtown where we seem to be one of very few offices open right now. Wait, is being old and fat an underlying issue!!! Houston, we have a problem!!!! heehee

I went back first week of May. Weekdays I used to be able to pick my hours but that's no longer the case. At least I was never working past 7 but in a few weeks they'll be extending hours til 9 and opening at 10 instead of 11🙄
