West-Tex : yeah, but this sounds like an increase in the area. They have never sent out an email like this before. Anyone live in a neighborhood in Atascocita that has seen a recent increase in break-ins or is anyone aware of any increases in break-ins at local schools?
@mastiffrex : They seem to go through this every few months, especially at the grade schoold, because they don't tend to have as much outdoor traffic during the day. There has been an uptick in Atascocita Trace, Clayton's Crossing and a few other areas on this side of town. Nothing that isn't preventable by people following the normal procedures like removing all items from vehicles and keeping them locked at all hours of the day. The more people that are leaving purses and guns and such in the cars and leaving them unlocked, the more cars are gotten into and articles that are stolen.
