Atascocita-2 juveniles in custody, 1 at large after shooting leaves boy injured in Atascocita, HCSO says ATASCOCITA, Texas (KTRK) -- Two juveniles are in custody and a third is at large after one of them allegedly shot another juvenile in the arm at an Atascocita apartment complex Tuesday afternoon, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office. The victim, who has only been identified as a boy, is in good condition, HCSO said. The sheriff's office said it happened just after 4 p.m. at the Bluewater at Balmoral apartment complex on Greens Road. Deputies initially said the victim was walking through the complex when three other juveniles confronted him, but it appears the victim was sitting in an SUV and was meeting the teens for some kind of transaction. HCSO said the victim was able to identify the accused shooter, and deputies subsequently went to his home on Dalmak Green Drive. They said they found the suspect and two witnesses to the shooting in a garage. The witnesses were detained and later released, but the suspect took off running and has yet to be located. abc13.com/post/2-juv eniles-custody-1-lar ge-shooting-leaves-b oy-injured-gree

Who's giving these kids guns? Why do they not put any value on human life? Something is missing in today's society.

The growth of our small town has definitely brought the crime. I fear it will only get worse.

They get the guns from irresponsible gun owners who think it's a good idea to leave their gun in their cars parked in the driveway.

Do you want to know why because many businesses and chain stores post that stupid trespass warning called 3006 and 3007 at their establishments and thus their customers are forced to leave their guns in the car and that is how guns are stolen like other items of value. These crooks can break into cars in seconds. I never disarm myself and leave my gun unsecured in my vehicle and if I travel with long guns to go hunting or shooting competitions I do not lose visibility of the car so I can see who nearby.
I wouldn't consider any part of balmoral to be part of Atascocita. That area was built out as a high crime area and will only get worse as it ages. While it borders the groves - the groves is night and day better - but it is a pass through area and convenient for the thugs to reach out to. but then again - I left A-South some years ago because it went down the tubes for crime. It is a shame -

They mainly leave them in their cars overnight, at their own homes.
This may be the case with a small group but I see more stolen from parking lots to stores and malls.
