TXNS_fan : please keep a close eye on your DD. It's very hard on adults to grieve. I cannot imagine being a teen going through grief. Teens don't know how to work through all the emotions. Heck, I don't even know how as an adult. She might need to see a counselor. Even if it's months later. There is nothing wrong in asking for help.

I feel the same. It's the last thing I think about and the first thing the next day. I'm even dreaming of these kids. Hugs to all of you who were close to these girls, I cannot imagine the pain their friends are going through, much less their family. I hope the services are lovely and peaceful and help to manage the pain.

lynnsgirl : We just came in. Yes, it was beautiful, everyone was in white. There was a prayer, her older brother sang a son. Place was packed, a lot of heartbroken kids. I probably saw the whole class of 2020

Rolls : I feel for his parents, I look at my own kids and think have I taught you enough, have I given you the tools to make wise decisions. I can only imagine what is going through theirs minds. Then for the girls, if he was as close to them as it seems, their parents emotions. Being sad then mad, because of the decisions made that night. I just hope that all affected can find peace and forgiveness, so their hearts can heal. If that makes sense. I'm not saying he shouldn't be punished but in their heart be able to forgive so they have peace. I know that is in the distance.

Sad situation. 😞Chloe Robison and Salma Gomez's families suing store clerk and friend for deadly Humble drunk driving crashATASCOCITA, Texas (KTRK) -- The families of two Atascocita High School students who were killed in a drunk driving accident have filed a lawsuit against the teen driver and the store clerk accused of selling him alcohol.Attorneys for Chloe Robison and Salma Gomez's parents announced Tuesday they are suing Humble Handi Stop and store clerk Gumaro Munoz Campos, who allegedly sold drinks to 17-year-old Jaggar Smith before the deadly July 25 crash.Smith is also named as a defendant in the lawsuit.Attorney Randy Sorrels alleges Campos' actions and that of the convenience store contributed to the teen's intoxication leading up to the wreck that claimed the lives of the 16-year-old girls."The Harris County District Attorney has taken positive steps to address the conduct of the store clerk in the criminal courts. These families are making sure the store itself is held responsible for allowing this type of conduct to endanger our community as a whole," Sorrels said, in a statement. "It is time stores like this who sell to minors are held responsible for their lack of policies or oversight."Campos was arrested on August 6 and charged with a misdemeanor for selling alcohol to a minor.Smith, who faces two felony counts of intoxicated manslaughter, walked out of jail on July 30 after posting a $60,000 bond.The families are suing for monetary damages related to the loss of their daughters, a loss of "companionship" and for mental anguish.

I don't see why they are suing the driver. The girls were engaging in illegal behavior as well. They should have taken his keys to protect innocent victims. His family is already going through enough.
