New this year to the Lake Houston 10k/5k Run/Walk is a 1K Kids Run, which starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, at King's Harbor (1660 West Lake Houston Parkway in Kingwood).

Children 12 and under are invited to participate in the 1K Kids Run. Cost of participation is $20. If a parent or guardian would like to run with their child, they can also pay the $20 registraton fee if they are not signed up for any of the other races. Runners will receive a bib and official race shirt. Finisher medals will be given to participants after the 1K Kids Run is completed.
Online registration is available through Wednesday, October 10, with late registration available on race day until 7 a.m.
