Young Driver Arrested on Weapons Charge After Stop in Atascocita

Prince Rodriguez was booked into the Harris County Jail on a charge of unlawful possession of a prohibited weapon following an October 11th traffic stop in the 12300 block of Will Clayton Parkway. His bond was set at $10,000 in the 351st District Court.

Deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Harris County Precinct 4 Office allegedly found a Glock 27 handgun fitted with an automatic conversion device, often called a switch. The device can allow a semiautomatic firearm to fire automatically. The items reportedly recovered also included 42 suspected THC vape cartridges, a bottle containing 25 suspected Xanax pills and about 33 grams of suspected marijuana. Additional charges are pending laboratory testing of the substances.

Rodriguez is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
