Well DH needs an orthopedist for his bad knees. Can anyone recommend a doc that does surgery in one of the nearby hospitals? Not wanting to drive a million miles. Thanks

@susanbanthony : When I broke my arm in 2024, my PCP sent me to David Lin. He did surgery at Memorial Hermann NE. His office is by HCA Hospital though. It's very nice and he has all the scanning equipment, so you don't have to go anywhere else for x-rays.

I just had a complete knee reconstruction it is very painful, I am 8 weeks out and I have to go back next week and have it manipulated or snapped to get the scar tissue to snap so I can range of motion. I done some more research and I would look into Nano Knee replacement less evasive and only 8 weeks recovery. They are telling me a full recovery could take up to a year. On mine I will not tell you what I said after he told me that I do not use that kind of language very often.

I can't remember the Dr's name I saw for my knee, but I went to Fondren Orthopedics in Kingwood. Turns out I just had soft tissue damage and did not require surgery.. I liked the Dr. very good at explaining things and he was very interested in my birding activities…..

The one that worked on my knee after the accident I had at work that butc7ered it was at Advanced Orthopedics in Kingwood.

I'd highly recommend Fondren Orthopedics just outside of the Medical Center. It's not in Kingwood, but well worth the drive. My wife had her meniscus "scoped" here in Kingwood. The doctor mistakenly removed too much tissue and it resulted in a bone-on-bone situation. She had to go to a more competent doctor/facility to resolve the issue (knee replacement), since then she has had back surgery and a hip replacement. Fondren specializes in orthopedic care; it's not a sideline job.
