15-Year-Old Charged After Allegedly Threatening Victims with Gun in Atascocita
A 15-year-old was arrested following a reported weapons disturbance in the 18600 block of Atascocita Park Drive, according to Constable Mark Herman's Office. Precinct 4 said deputies responded on July 30th after complainants reported that a male driving a gray vehicle allegedly threatened them with a firearm. Deputies reportedly located the vehicle and detained the juvenile.
Officials said the juvenile was booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center on a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Precinct 4 also reported that the juvenile had prior law enforcement contacts involving Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Deadly Conduct, Theft, Robbery and multiple alleged counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Prior law enforcement contacts do not necessarily indicate convictions.
This incident has not been confirmed as connected to other reports of gunfire or police activity in the Atascocita area that evening.
An arrest and charge are allegations, and the case will proceed through the juvenile justice system.
