Lake Houston Level Drops Nearly Two Feet

Wow! Yesterday the level rose a few inches and we had significant rainfall today so far (Wed. 4pm). Just checked the canal and has been lowered to about 2 feet below normal! Guess they are wanting to err on the side of caution with more rain on the way!

They are forecasting some heavy rain though Sunday . With a total of 8/10 inches.

We should all be grateful they lowered it. Conroe needs to do the same

We should all be grateful they lowered it. Conroe needs to do the same now, instead of waiting too long and dumping millions of gallons on us after the rain has ended.

@jtec: Yeah, not normally that low. In your 3rd photo, the Great Egret looks eager to get down to dinner as the fish are so nicely packed more densely together than usual! Thanks for sharing your pix!
