twylas friends There used to be quite a few posts on here from Twylas pet rescue. I hadn't seen anything for a long time - I had to look them up to see if they were still going. I adopted my last dog from them 12-13 years ago - - She just passed away in September/October time frame. I want to not have pets for a while to accommodate a travel life for a few years, but I sure do miss the lap dog. Who on here is still involved with the animal rescues?

I feel the same. I miss having a dog, but the time for another one is not right. I'm hleping with grandbaby, have another one on the way, and want to travel for at least a few years after I am relieved of grandchild care duties. (I'll still help occasionally.) As to Twyla's Rescue, not sure who on here works with them. But they are an ADC charity. So, you could help animals without adopting by sending some coinage their way. I do that occasionally and also contribute to shelters in my area from time to time.
Sorry to hear your dog crossed the bridge 😔. I am not longer on the Twyla's Friends board but I fostered recently.
I found an 8 week old puppy last Dec. She was adopted by a great family in November!
Maybe you can fostered a dog? They could sure use the help. Let me know if you want me to have someone contact you.
I used to send the points to them but I haven't seen any. I got my guy friend to adopt a
dog that was tied up and left when the family moved. My son and I was going to get it but they said they would. That dog has the best life with my guy friend. Unfortunately, because of that I lost my dog sitter but he's a old guy and the dog loves him. For some reason he doesn't like me much and we think he is afraid I will take him back. It was a good move for the two. I hope they are still open.
I think Kroger has a program that allows you to link your shoppers card to a charity. No cost to you.
