I saw an advertisement on social media, yesterday, for a local, for us, place called Country Kitchen. They advertised an early Thanksgiving buffet that was held on Wednesday. All you can eat including a salad bar and dessert bar. They had quite a spread. I think it was $15, maybe $20, pp. I told dh next year we ought to go there on Wednesday and tell everyone they are on their own for Thursday. Good deal and no dishes to deal with. I was pretty wiped last night from all of the dishes and what-not.

I'm older now and Thanksgiving is over rated.I'm thankful all year long but I'm not a slave driven whohaw cooking like a manic crackhead for food to be leftover for a week!Hey mom, next year can we just have sandwiches?Hell I don't even like Turkey!

lynnsgirl : I have a friend who hates turkey and so does her kids and her husband so she cooks spaghetti for Thanksgiving every year and they love it

lynnsgirl : It's so much better when everyone splits the cooking! We love the traditional turkey dinner for thanksgiving but for Christmas we have been changing it up.

lynnsgirl : Sounds good to me! There is a lady in my bunco group who said she's had it with Xmas commercialism. She said she gives her adult kids money and was going to go out for Chinese on Xmas Eve.
