New Portillo's Coming To Humble

Was reading in Community Impact's most recent publication that there are plans in the works to finally bring a Portillo's Restaurant to our side of town!

The "fast-casual restaurant specializing in Chicago street food…will feature seating for 166 guests and double drive-thru lanes. Construction is expected to wrap up by Nov. 3". Opening TBD. Address will be: 111 FM 1960 Bypass Road E, in Humble.

My happy food is Chicago-Style Italian Beef 'sangwiches' with mild Gardinera and loads of au jus, making it an eat-it-over-the-sink necessity! Dang! Now I'm hungry!

Never heard of them but that sounds good. I'm planning a trip that direction sometime in September. Won't be able to check them out until spring. I will be doing my unpaid daycare gig starting end of October until April for dd. I gave dd a deadline of April to find a daycare. There's a shortage of daycares in the area so fingers crossed.
