Personally, I don't get this the same way as I don't get kids going to the prom in limousines! What happened to the old days where a kid borrowed the family car for the night? Not to mention the swanky hotels the proms are held in these days. So, I guess the overindulgence depicted here is just where we are as a society.

I'll probably be shaking my head the rest of the evening. Sometimes there are just no adequate words. Then we as a society wonder why some of these kids are off the chain with behavioral problems.
