@Smokeybear : If it's offensive to those of American Indian heritage, I can understand, Their heritage shouldn't be exploited. However, it sounds like some (like @westie ), would like to see the Indian girl back on the packaging.

I miss all the nostalgic things of 1970 and prior. No one was offended then and took anything personal on the brand of things but that the quality of what it stood for and still does today, except now up the price of butter and take away the meaning of how that butter mattered. Cancelling culture sucks. Everyone matters.If I am wrong then delete me.I love Aunt Jemima, I love Cajun food, I love, Everything.

Actually, I was thinking of her pancake mix….but what I really meant is the personalities of these food icons. They are/were beloved representatives of the products and a part of Americana. I think people are super-sensitive and getting rid of them is like taking down historical statues. I am sure some here will disagree but I feel strongly about this.

The O is empty now. The American Indian is not there anymore. It now has no meaning from my point of view. When you buy a product it should have quality now I am not sure what fills that void.When you buy something it should mean something and identify with real quality and not just a generic communistic style. Maybe tribes should make the butter and have insignia and patent it. That is a thought.I would buy it. I hated living on the reservation.

@westie : It's an O, shortening "of". There was literally no meaning to the Native girl. She just sat in front of it.If we're buying butter based off the presence or not of a mascot, think we've got bigger issues going on. Also, it's mediocre butter anyways. Kerrygold FTW.

When it comes to being represented on products, I guess one can take it as an "honor" or take it as an "offense"....Taken as an "honor" will keep the "represented" alive in the minds of the public...Taken as an "offense" will contribute to and hasten the demise of the memory of the eventually "formerly represented"....
