Westbound lanes.

@Itsme : I have lived out here since 1980. That intersection has flooded this entire time. Why the heck can't they do something about this, after over 40 years?????

@Catmae : I don't understand either, have lived in the area also for 30 years now. Over time you know the routes you can take to get around here when we have bad weather like this.

@AGLLM : There was a time when Woodland Hills didn't even go to Atascocita Road, and that intersection, Will Clayton and Atascocita Road, was the only way out of the the subdivision (Atascocita Forest).

@Catmae : I don't remember Woodland Hills not going to Atascocita Road, yeah, than you were stuck! But I remember that Will Clayton did not go all the way to Lake Houston Parkway, and WLHP did not go to Beltway.

Is it suppose to get bad again? More storms?

@AGLLM : I was here when Will Clayton Parkway (then called Jetero), was just being constructed. (I had friends here who I visited, before moving out here.) There wasn't even a stop-light at Will Clayton and Atascocita Road. So many people were killed and injured at that intersection, they had no choice but to put in a stop-light. Same with Woodland Hills and Atascocita Road .... then down coming out of Atascocita South. It's so unfortunate that people have to die, before they put in stop-lights. Imagine the lives that could have been saved.

I remember WLHP being a two lane rd when they first started building Summerwood.

@Itsme : I lived back there too, for a couple of years. In the patio homes on Shrub Oak.

@Catmae : What year did you move here? We moved here Oct. 19, 1989

@SnoopSister : I moved here in 1980, but DH already lived here with his parents. They moved here in 1978.

@Catmae : I wish I would have taken pictures but we thought we'd only be here 2 years. Husband's employer lied. 😤

@SnoopSister : Two years, and you've been here since 1989??? He's still with the same employer?

My ex lived here since the 80's, but I moved here in 2001. ( that's Kingwood, tho)
