@Lace :If they can get "big money" for little food from "the masses", that sets the "market pricing" for other similar places also....Sad but true....And if it's "pretty full tonight" when tonight is only a Thursday, imagine what it will be like on the weekend....

It has been full every time we go by there. Dh wants to try it and I don't want any part of that many people and the cost I have heard about. They've already had a shooting but that is probably normal.

with a truck. I could ask them but they are still there. I think some of it will die down soon but it is a new thing. If I am spending good money for food, I want air conditioning and someone serving me.

@ladybeachbum : It was a fistfight that happened before the bouncers got there. Was a little out of control but nobody pulled a gun. My son was up there when it happened and there was all kinds of misinformation that was posted from people that were and weren't there from what he said.

We were there last night too. Been a couple times, it's never not packed… lots of food to choose from but you're definitely gonna pay top dollar for what you get. The bar also automatically adds an 18% gratuity to every order. Beers are $5-7 for draft and fancy drinks are around $12-15 I believe. We had a decent sized group and had fun, but it's not something we'd do often.

Porky's is a really cool spot. I don't mind paying $5 for a beer if I'm having a couple. Food trucks on the other hand? Very rarely will I pay those crazy prices - and that's not Porky's-specific. I'm sure there's a reason they cost more, but I do not care. I'll go back sometime but I'll tell you this - I am ubering because that parking lot? Oh MY god.

Right! We got lucky because we were in my car and not DHs big ole truck and got a compact spot right in the front!

Burgers at whataburger are cheaper than that

My introduction to Porky's was at lunchtime on a weekday, so not crowded at all. HOWEVER, although there were many food trucks, there were only 2 or 3 open. After observing sizes of food items, DS and I decided to split a burrito and I got iced tea while he opted for a beer. I still could only eat half of mine, so I took home the rest for lunch the next day. 3 MEALS from one purchase made it doable. DS & DH went on a weekend during a big sports TV event. MOBBED! I dropped them off and picked them up rather than them trying to find parking. They had a blast!
