Turn those heaters off!....This is good "snugglin' weather!"....Grab your significant other, crawl under the covers, and put on a movie...Preferably a dull and boring one so you won't really miss anything while generating your own heat....

We don't have heat either. I gave up on the AC system a few months ago but given how cold it is now I called and left a message for the repair company.

@ParksideRes : That's how I like it in the sixties. The heater makes me sick . We have electric blankets for if it got really cold . And we have comfy warm clothes .

@brightlights : We have on warm jogging clothes . If one of us is cold we both have long snugly warm robs . I get sinus problems & sore throat with the heater on . If I use the electric blanket I get itchy skin on my legs if I don't keep lotion on them . Hubby puts an electric heater on & warms the bathroom before his bath . I take a bath in hot water & when I get out I welcome opening the bathroom door & cooling off .

My family makes me turn it on. I'm hot as hell. Husband has been freezing his butt off all day at 70...70!!

@Sammee : I'm sneaky. I turn it down after everybody is asleep. I hate the feeling of suffocation and the feeling of ALL hydration leaving my body (lol)! My husband likes it way too warm (just as yours does)! I say keep it cool enough, but not so cool as to allow the pipes to freeze. And ........ It is not necessary to keep it hot! If someone is cold, there are always extra blankets!!!

@West-Tex : DANG! Your toes and fingers must be frozen off right about now. Ours did not kick on for some reason and it was 59 in the house when I woke up. No wonder I was freezing the moment I got out of my warm bed.

@ParksideRes : same here - Mine's upstairs. pre -set at 65, only time it goes up is at 5pm to 68 to take the chill off but goes back to 65 at 9pm so I can sleep while its cool. I do not let a hot house.
