So while I was there a lady walked in without a mask on and asked if she needed an appointment. They said yes, but we can go ahead and take you but you will need a mask. Lady turned around to walk out and said she didn't feel like she needed to wear a mask and she was going to take her business elsewhere. They didn't cave.. I was very proud of how they handled this rude, and once again, entitled lady. Look I get it.. as an individual one has the choice either to wear or not wear the mask. I personally do not wear one in places that don't require you to wear one. Businesses like nail and hair salons, doctor's offices are not making the choice to make us wear masks.. it is a requirement made for them to be able to open back up as soon as they did. I, for one, am grateful for that. So I hope that lady finds a place that will put up with her. Actually, I hope she doesn't.

With that being said.. had to chop off all my fingernails and start over but my goodness they did a great job!! Is it sad it took them 2 hours to fix this mess up? Yes.. yes it is!!

I haven't left the house much over the last few months but had to meet my daughter to take her something. I was parked in front of an Academy and that place was packed! And no masks! I saw older couples and families with kids. Granted like I said haven't been out much but surprised to see this.
Just a few moments prior I had pass the funeral held for the Humble police officer who had lost his life from the virus. They had the flag draped on cranes and many many officers standing attention and in the middle of the circular driveway sat the casket. The service must have been held outside and had such a huge show of support. It was heartbreaking.
But it is a typical day at Academy.

@MooMaw : I drove by the church this morning as well before the funeral, had to look up what was going on. Very sad.
Yes and people don't think they need to wear masks, I just wish they would make them mandatory for everyone.

@TexasGal : MV nails.. they require an appointment, which I didnt have, but they were able to take me anyways. I am a regular so that may or may not have helped

@DaycareMom : I go to Nails by Tess. I haven't gone in yet. I had a toe infection and maybe in 2-3 weeks I will go in.

@jrshabbyUsually.. And don't worry because I choose not to wear one, as it is within my rights. I assure you I wash my hands and I don't touch my face and social distancing is in my blood bc people annoy me. That's why all my good friends are ADC internet buddies. I don't have to worry about them coming over. I don't push any agenda down your throat for you wanting to wear a mask so please don't push your agenda down mine. No one is breaking any laws here. Sleep well
