@eighteen : Maybe, maybe not. But I'm not going to be lectured by the fear crowd for not observing the newly established rules of being when them same people are out and about to. If I was bought in to everything the media was spewing about Corona being all but guaranteed death, then I wouldn't even know what my neighbors are doing cause I'd be holed-up in a bunker somewhere.

@WeveBecomeEastHouston : The beaches are full this weekend, too, so lets see the numbers 5 -6 days from now. It they didn't go up then we should be good. However, the young do better with this that older. I'll just take my vitamins!

Luckily Memorial Day is May 25th, plenty of time to see what the impact will be. Personally, I'm just going to sit back and wait and watch.I do appreciate all the test subjects in this social experiment. Somebody has to test.

you can see every day - more relaxing of individual standards At the park - initially signs were posted at each pavilion warning against gatherings of 10 or more. These were ignored, so the shoreline and the pavilions were barricaded off.Now - you see groups gathering in the parking lots. But, it is a double edge sword - certainly the unnecessary gatherings will spread the virus and ramp up the cases to others who are trying to social distance - this is the ignorant inconsideration that is frustrating to many. But there is an attitude of insulting people who speak against those peoples perceived right to gatherbut then again - everyone has their own comfort standardsSome will go in the grocery store - some wont
Some will go to the park - some wont
Some will meet with neighbors - some wont
Some will return to work - some wontThe stores and gov't will only do so much - and leave the rest up to the herd. I was at the park yesterday - I rode a few laps, then found an isolated spot to relax 50 yards from anyone - and the road. There was a person I noticed that walked the entire park - coughing every step of the way w no face covering or effort to stifle her cough. all you can do - is determine where your comfort factor s and stick to it.

@scamp : Yes you can already have it up to 2 weeks before you show symptoms and then it lasts up to 14-20 days. I was sick about 20, but I never got horribly sick.

and you can be spreading it the whole time unknowingly until you start showing symptoms.

I'd never be afraid about contact with that virus out there . They say stay 6 ft away from people . Yet I googled & found info that a sneeze or a cough could be anywhere from 19 to 26 ft from the person that sneezed or coughed . So inside a building / grocery store even with a mask on lots of people are in & out & all around & I'd bet that the virus is all over the place inside of grocery stores . We were no where near 26 ft from a person .

@redneckroy : It's discouraging . We see people gathering all over the place . We get groceries delivered or sometimes do a parking lot pickup . We wear mask & gloves & bring the cold groceries inside the house by taking out of the bags & putting into our rolling cart , I have Clorox water & wash rag rung out & I wipe meat packages & all cold stuff then put away . Caned goods & TP & such we sit in the garage for 3 days before we bring in & we spray them with Lysol spray , When we sit out side in the front of our house we are at least 30 ft from the street . People stop & talk a few minutes . We are perfectly ok with this situation . We have concluded this will take much longer because alot of people refuse to take these precautions .
