Used to have the place in Addison called Texadelphia, totally legit. They closed down for a few years and I think somebody down here opened up a franchise off of Westheimer.
I've been making them a lot since Kroger started selling shaved beef. Just like fajitas, I get my serving of vegetables with the least amount of effort.
never thought Philly cheesesteaks were anywhere close as good as those along the southern NJ coast, like in Atlantic City down to Wildwood, and mainland towns along the way. The difference is that the cheesesteaks are made with raw or grilled onions, minute steak (of course), provolone cheese, topped off with lettuce and sliced tomatoes, and some minced hot cherry peppers, with a shot of olive oil across the entire sub, oregano, salt and pepper. The bread is really the key, has to be made with a special bread from a special bakery in AC, then you have to dig out some of it on both side of the sub so you can fit in more cheesesteak. Oh, and NYC area cheesesteaks are worse than Philly's.
