West-Tex : Glad he is taking responsibility. I hope the truth comes out and if an adult supplied the alcohol, they turn themselves in.

West-Tex : I'm glad he's accepting his actions. I'm also interested if a business sold it to him. I know growing up there were two places around here you could get the alcohol underage. One place is gone but the other still stands.

BusyMommy : There is no question. I wish the reporting would include comments from first responders who say he was frantically trying to help his friends and begging them to save them. How distraught and griefstricken he was inside the courtroom. How he's responding to his friends checking on him that he wishes he had been taken instead of his friends. How close his family is and how they also loved these girls and would give themselves in their places if they could.

HumbleGirl : You can clearly see the situation was a group of kids who collectively made a bad decision. They all paid. The fact that he is coming clean shows he isn't worried about trying to "get away" with his crimes. To me it shows character and I believe no amount of punishment will even begin to compare with what he will already deal with for the rest of his life. I do hope in the future he is able to talk to teens and share this story to hopefully educate others.

We left Culver's and saw the memorial. The vehicle in front of us slowed to a stop and we were behind them so we did, too, patiently waiting. Amazing amount of flowers and photos, stuffed animals, balloons and other items. I saw the bench and box of Kleenex through the window - fine details someone took the time to place for reflection. I mentioned the bench and necks craned. Then I lost it and the others too, for three beautiful children whose lives changed in a matter of seconds. Literally seconds. Keep praying for all three of those families, folks. They need you.
