Humble High School

For a time, several years ago, my wife's younger brother with special needs and still in high school came to live with us. Our son was still in elementary, and we were just over the line to be zoned to HHS. She requested her brother be allowed to get a transfer to AHS, as she liked their program better and felt he'd be safer there. She and her brother had a meeting with the HHS principal, and a big fight broke out right in front of them right after they entered the building. Poor kid was terrified... Probably helped her case and he was allowed the transfer. By the time our son was in high school, we moved to ES and were zoned to AHS, and honestly the main reason we even moved.

When my oldest started 9th @AHS some bully's ( he was the skinny white kid who was to smart for his own good) followed from timberwood middle school. He was threatened with violence a few times and then Covid lock down and online learning was introduced to us. We then learned that our kids responded well to it and were able to learn without a class setting. He graduated with great GPA and went on to a private university with help from some scholarships. He says " you know what mom? their aren`t any groups of bad people here like back home. I dont mind making up the extra so he can be right where he is and loves being!!!
