Houston Restaurant Week

I'm just too basic. A hamburger & fries and I'm good to go. Throw in a yummy dessert and I'm more than good to go.

@RajunCajun : I went with my mom to Coco for my birthday yesterday. (I have a $10 coupon) She's looking at the menu and starts complaining about not liking certain ingredients. I'm like nope we're going somewhere else. 😂. She will not ever try anything new.

@mastiffrex : Not yet. I totally forgot it was this month! Yes a great time to try new restaurants!

@chasinghosts : Oh I love that place!! I have to have a big appetite when I go there!

@DAccountant : Agreed! The original Ninfa's is just not the same after they were sold.

@CelticStorm : Lol get more turtle soup to go!! I always get that too when I go there.

@MrsT : I had foie gras at Chez Nous in Humble = it was great = so much better than I thought it would be - very fatty - if you like that (which I do)! The one thing I did not like that you hear is great was truffles = way too gamey tasting for me

@chasinghosts : I've heard fantastic things about that place. Hope you enjoy it and.....don't forget pic's!

@MrsT : The only time I had escargot all I tasted was butter and garlic. So those were pretty tasty escargot

@MrsT : Asian City in Humble also gives a free meal up to $20.

@mastiffrex : I'm not big on truffles either. I don't think I'd like foie gras much. It's just soft right? I've had brains and while I didn't hate the taste I couldn't get over the consistency.

@Cbear : Ha! Yeah, I am. I'm pretty sure that's why dh has stuck with me for almost 37 years. Funny story -- not sure if I already told it here -- but when I was in college I told my Mom that I only like mixed drinks, no beer. She said that I was an expensive date and that I needed to learn to like beer!! But I told her one drink and I'm done so not that expensive.

@Cbear : Didn't happen. I hate making plans with them as they can be wishy washy.

@MrsT : I love Truffles, truffle oil , also love truffle chocolates, So fattening though.
