Atascocita South trash bill is now doubled. $252 extra might be used for future 'projects', Says the HOA. This is in addition to raising our HOA fees by the maximum 5%. I just payed my MUD152 water bill and the newly applied charge of $21 a month for trash service. I also paid my HOA fees which included fees for trash service. The HOA approved their 2026 budget before agreeing to let MUD 152 take over trash service. Did they then decrease what needed to be paid? No. When I called the HOA they agreed we were being charged twice, but since the budget was approved before the contract was signed they will not lower our fees. Can they charge us the 5% maximum allowed increase and take our money for services they no longer provide? Seems wrong to me. They said they will look at the situation in late 2026 when they approve next year's budget, but admitted if they need that money to pay for future projects they may not lower our assessment fee then either.
