Hood count

ginx : First home on Pinehurst Trail and moved to the too big home we have now. After a few years the beach homes. Next home here smaller for sure.

ginx : I wouldn't have it in me, either. Two moves in two years was plenty for me. So, one hood -- the Groves-- for me. Curious. What's your fave hood in Atascocita?

ginx : Here are mine ...DH, his parents and his sister owned a few acres in Atascocita Acres, back when it was first being developed. The intent was to build our house there. His parents bought a mobile home for us to live in while we were building. While we were living there, it became more obvious that it wasn't going to become what we had hoped, so we left.From there, we moved to Atascocita Forest until I was expecting our first DS. Had a house built in Atascocita Trails .... that was also a mistake. So after three years, bought a home back in Atascocita Forest. Stayed there for 22 years and raised our family.In 2010, we moved into our home in Pinehurst, until 2022. Now I live in a "cottage" in Eagle Springs.This is over a 45 year span.

ginx : When I first moved here from Pasadena, I lived in the apartments down the street from Humble High School. That's not Atascocita though. I've got a few years on you too ..

I had a great time in each of them in different stages of my life, I couldnt claim a favorite because each one had something I loved about it

My fav place to live was in New Orleans. People are so friendly. The food is good. They have festivals and parties all the time. I love and miss my time there.

Grew up in the Oaks. Went to school in Huntsville and lived in 5 apartments. Moved back and lived in an apartment on Will Clayton that's now an airport parking lot. Rented a house off Aldine Bender, rented off Sorters Rd, bought a house in Atascocita Trace. Now I'm here in Huffman for 10 years.

All of this is making my brain hurt thinking back. We bought on Pinehurst Trail because I met some guys on a flight to come down and check out homes. I worked in Dallas. These two guys telling me where to buy. We did meet our best guy friend salesman and the history went on with a lot of party time back then. Then I saw this home that was way more than we needed but a dream home. I knew we couldn't afford it but bingo those guys worked it out and now been here more than 40 years.

Lived in Atascocita South for 10.5 years. Literally just moved into a house in Eagle Springs.

Just Pinehurst for me. I've enjoyed it here and have no idea where I would go. I can go to the beach but after a few days I want to go HOME.

This has made me want to think about my first home, I know several have died, That is scary in itself. Last I heard only one other female we are still around. Three families move in with the guys that showed me Atascocita. I need to check in some.

Only one house in The Oaks of Atascocita that I've lived in for 48 years but minus 9 years that I lived in Huffman. It's a place I've have loved the most.
