Def Deussen Park
If leaving the area, Discovery Green downtown and have a drink at The Groves.

I would ordinarily say Eisenhower or Deuseen park but it is now completely crowded. I would say take a road trip to small towns like Montgomery near Conroe and visit their parks. Alot more quieter.

We went to the Lake Houston Wilderness Park and it was awesome. Lived in Humble for 6 years and we have never ventured north past Northpark Drive. We will take our daughter there and also have a family outing with my in-laws (12 of them) to come stay in a cabin for the weekend.

That location is great and you also might consider the cabins around Lake Livingston. I usually go the rentals for the weekend with good fishing access

@TSUalum05 Many, many years ago when I was in Girl Scouts, that was the very first place we went for camp outs. Back then it was called Peach Creek. After it became Lake Houston Wilderness Park, we went there and camped out with my boys in Boy Scouts. That place has a lot of memories for me.

@TSUalum05 You know, I almost recommended this to you, but wasn't sure if you were looking for somewhere more "park like".
