Ok...I had to delete and repost this because one of pics gave away my super-secret-identity. Lol. Who are the birdwatchers here? I'm looking for the group that goes to East End Park (or any other group). We had a blast with this group the last time we did this. My daughter is coming home for Spring Break and we want to try to work in some birdwatching.
These are all of the birds that were around my backyard the past couple of days and also on my walk today. So many!

@Smokeybear should be able to tell you about organized bird walks around here. I have 12 feeders in my yard and also enjoy a variety of "bird guests" That is so sweet that your daughter has this interest with you.

There is one bird that you get a lot in the Houston and surrounding areas that is not on the list, and it is the middle finger on their hands. Flipping the bird.

@Sammee :
Glad to see you are enjoying the birds. I see you've got the Merlin App working fine. We will be at Jesse Jones Park March 7th and East End Park March 14. I remember you and your daughter from a few years ago. Had a nice conversation with her about some Salmon research she worked on. Was very interesting. Hope you can make it out. Spring migrants should be starting soon…

@Smokeybear :
I have had a deluge of dark colored birds eating me out of house and home. I have had a hard time getting pictures of them because they fly away. I think these are them. Are they starlings and PLEASE tell me they are just passing through!!!

@Catmae :
My husband saw another picture and thought there might be more than one kind. There will be 10 to 15 at a time swarming around. It's crazy. I did go out earlier and there were bluebirds, a blue jay and a downy. I just don't want them chased away.

@Daiquiri :
Looks like female Starlings. The males will have some purple iridescence. They move in big flocks. Sometimes if they and others like black birds move in you need to take your feeders down or not fill them so they will move on….

@Smokeybear :
I thought they were starlings. Thank you! I want them to go. I put out a lot of food and they are gobbling it up.
I set my alarm to go to Jesse Jones the first Saturday this month. I slept through it! Hopefully I will see you on the Seventh. I need to get a grip. LOL!

I just took the pup for a walk (around 6:10). Saw a beautiful Cardinal. It was so pretty, it immediately caught my attention. I think it was DH paying me a visit.
