I never really did much clubbing in Houston, I lived in Huntsville during my party years. We had a bar called Quarters that had a promotion for awhile where you bought a band for $3 and all your drinks of the liquor of the day were 25¢. We were cheap though and just bought one band and passed it around. 😂 Imagine my shock at the downtown prices the few times I did go. Once we went to a bar across the street from Coco Loco, I don't remember the name. I've also been to Sky Bar and a few more places I can't remember the names of.

I remember getting overloaded at Yucatan liquor stand with chipmunk cheeks at the line for the men's restroom, they let me in quick so I could hurl
TortieMama and Luckysis reacted We would end up at Steak&Ale and the bartender knew us well and would cut us off when he thought we had too much and make us drink coffee. 1960 was dead at 2 am though so not too dangerous. I'd never do it now though.

I can honestly say I've never been cut off. I can also say I often should have been.
ladybeachbum, TortieMama and ginx reacted It was a pretty good late night place in the bar. I think back in the ages it was open until 2 am!
I used to go dancing at the Cow Palace on Hwy I-45 back in the early 80"s. It was a fun place until it burned down.

Some of the older ones on here may remember Dance Town Usa here in Houston on Airline Dr, I went there a couple of times in the seventies, but I was into the hippie thing back then and it was all country.

I wasn't as much of a clubber but went to Rich's a few times, 2826 for disco night, and briefly The Magic Bus. I worked at the Chuy's that was across from Yucatan so we would go there after work sometimes. Spent most of my time at Richmond Arms, Blue Iguana, Doghouse, Velvet Elvis.
