Has anyone here tried it? We are about to "cut the cord", and I have been looking into this, but haven't heard anyone's personal experience with it.

Will you still get FX? Emoticon

We keep saying we're going to cut the cord, too...so far, there's always something about every other option that changes the game. Emoticon

Yes, there is a package for $25 where you still get FX, AMC, local channels, and quite a bit of the other major cable networks. Plus on demand content. As long as I can get AHS and TWD I'm pretty much good Emoticon From what I have seen its like Hulu but with live channels too. I'm happy with the content I have seen offered, but I just don't know how reliable it is. I don't want to get it and turns out it's all glitchy.

We cut the cord in March. In the beginning we had HULU, Nteflix and Amazon Prime. We didn't use much of Hulu so we decided to cut it too. Now that we have NFL package we don't even watch Netflix that much. We are considering Sling too... Is it stream only or does it have live tv?

We have it and love it.
I do miss having a DVR. But we don't watch many shows so it hasn't really bothered us as much as we thought it would.

We have pretty good internet. I'd say we average 45-50 mbs downstream. There are still times (i'd venture to guess at least 3 times per half hour) that the picture quality drops for about 3 seconds before going back.

We are currently using the app on my Xbox One, or just the app on our phone and then Chromecast it to any tv in the house.

Do they have decent on-demand selection as well? I can deal with a little drop in picture quality here and there, if that is the worst I'd have to deal with.

For those interested. Check their website - lots of info and a few packages. They offer a 7 day trial, can't hurt to give it a spin.

I have the basic plan and get the following: ESPN, ESPN2, (also get access to the ESPN app if you'd rather watch through that - just use your SLING account info), ESPN3, AMC, TNT, tbs, Comedy Central, A&E, History, Viceland, BBC, IFC, El Rey, Polaris, Maker, FLAMA, HGTV, Food network, travle, Cartoon network, Free Form, Disney, CNN, Newsy, Bloomberg, Local Now, Lifetime, Galavision.

Just $20 a month

@Floyd :

That I'm not familiar with. I don't think that they have anything on-demand but I've also never looked for it.

We used to have Sling. The only problem I had with it is the poor video quality when streaming through my Xbox. I had no problems streaming through my PC or Nexus 7, however.

We have a Roku and Amazon fire TV stick, and it says both should work. I wouldn't mind buying another device to stream if I need to as it would pay for itself in cable savings in a month or two.
