Police investigate body found in river in northeast Harris County
 
Police responded to reports of a body floating inside a river at 100 Commons Lake Drive around 6 p.m. in Huffman.

HPD released this statement regarding the incident:
 
Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male found at 102 Commons Lake Drive about 5 p.m. on 4/29/16.
 
The identity of the male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
 
HPD Homicide Division Officers K. Fregia and C. Sharp reported:
 
Officers with the HPD Marine Patrol Unit were advised of a body floating in the east fork of the San Jacinto River at the above address. Officers recovered the body of a male and investigators are awaiting autopsy results to determine the male's identity and cause of death.
 
Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600.

I do live in the Commons - this seems like it is near one of our parks with boat ramps and fishing piers. We were out of town this weekend, I will see what I can find out.

What I have been told is that the body washed up in the Commons as a result of flooding, the body had been in the water a long time and has not been identified. Our neighborhood president has been in touch with the investigating officers and what they are telling us is that there has been no crime in the Commons, nor missing persons nor any affiliation with any Commons residents.

well the cabin mama it looks like your president was given false informationyou see it was my son that was found in the water he had only been in the water 24 hours and we believe there was Foul Play involved anyone with any information please contact Houston homicideand the only thing that separates us from the commons is a 6-foot wood fence my property backed up to your gated community
