Cool Event Happening at Our Library
Our library is hosting a tea tasting next Saturday in commemoration of the Boston Tea Party. We will be tasting the five kinds of tea that was catapulted into the harbor. I think this will be interesting. This is something that I never thought about--what kind of tea did they dunk? Hmm. We will find out next Saturday!

I'd love to go to this but I don't see it on their calendar. Do you have a link?

Abberatia : She lives in the Baton Rouge, LA area. This is not at our libraries here.

Hey, I'm gonna need you to report back as to the goings on there, if we want to be able to reproduce it here.

Catmae : I agree. That is super cool. Maybe I'll pass this along as an idea for our library to do.

Vinbert : Will do! It might be a fun thing for your library to offer it near the 4th of July. 250 year celebration!

Vinbert : What kinds of books does the book club study? Like, do they have specific books that correlate to the tea time theme? I've heard of book clubs that have food themed books where people bring a dish that corresponds with the book. That sounds fun but also an awful lot of work.

cheryltom : It is. They listed the date in the library newsletter. I'm guessing that they are having it after the holidays because there is so much going on during the holidays.

RajunCajun: so that book club is pretty much whatever they want to read. Fiction, non fiction, it all goes.
The tea party idea will not be part of the book club itself. I just figured she already does tea!
Actually, she's planning on doing it as an America 250 program, and getting the DAR involved if possible.
