Opening weekend of State Fair of Texas brings thousands as new p

susanbanthony : Have you ever been to Texas' state fair? I think it would be nice to attend at least once to get a good feel for what the experience is like.

DH and I go every year for 1 day. It s a ton of fun to see all the new auto models, the railroad museum, and other exhibits. I also luv the drive to Dallas

brightlights scared me from going.

Been here 29 years, never been. It also took me 27 years to go to the HLSR.

cheryltom : I've been here all my life and have never been. I did, however, attend the World's Fair (HemisFair '68) in San Antonio in 1968. That was pretty cool.

I would go just to see the cars if my son would go but then no one would be with the four leg babies. I would hear them crying all the way to Dallas and I really love Dallas and my family there. I lived there many years and would go at least one night or the entire day. Go do it!
