Fire Ants

Kind of figured. Coming in through a tiny opening on one LR tall window.

Killed, sprayed weather stripping (what a f&%#%ng mess!), cleaned carcasses up.

Two bites so far. 👀 Just me and the little here now. Is it true these little beasts send "signals" to their colonies when one is distressed?

What else can we do now??? 😭

Man...fluck all this rain this summer!

Fire Ants

@brightlights :

The waters have flooded their regular habitat and they are seeking temporary shelter....They should go back when things dry out a bit....I found a whole bunch of them in the folds of my "cool-pool" cover....

@EddyFree : Yes, that's exactly what happened. It was crazy!

Sealed the window in question properly (y'all, don't ever try that spray sealant...you'll regret it). Cleaned up, done deal.

Emoticon , y'all!

In this instance, I don't think I would use "attractants" to lure them and kill....I'd prefer "repellents"....
