Firehouse sub review...

I walked in there for the first time ever yesterday. I was in the mood for a nice sandwich. I love Popbelly and Schlotzskys. I ordered a small italian requesting black olives to be added. The crew were young kids and very friendly.

The small is the size of a kid's meal so I got the medium w/o drink or chips. It cost be right at $11.50.

Place was clean, cute and staff very nice. With this said, I will NOT be back. I was NOT impressed and nor do I ever want to pay almost $12. for a medium sandwich. They charge for any little request such as garlic and black olives. At least Subway (not my favorite) I can request heavy veggies.

First and last visit.

That will be off our list to try. My son is so good with getting food brought in. He must have every place online. This reminds me I am hungry!

I don't make it a habit out of paying someone for a sammie, but I've been there a couple of times, and idk, girl...that Engineer (fully involved) and the New York Steamer are kinda hard to beat! Most sandwich joints these days seem to be charging in the $10-12 range at minimum, but FH is way higher quality than that Subway garbage. 🤢

Potbelly is still the winner in a budget friendly sub!

wasnt impressed either when I tried them. schlotskys in king wood has a fat french dip sandwich.

Expensive. But, have you noticed the price of lunch meat at the grocery store? Like, Hillshire Farms or whatever. Holy cow. Not cheap. That said, I still come out better making my own sandwich. I hardly ever go to those sandwich shops.

@ladybeachbum : My lunch is usually left overs from dinner. If no leftovers, then I make my own wrap with carb smart tortillas or diet bread so that I can cut down on calories and carbs.

I'm a sucker for a deal... so I get Subway through the app. Never pay more than 6.99 for a footlong, there is always a code. Not the best sandwich, but the best deal.

Third or fourth for jersey mike's, give them a shot i think you'll be glad u did. Don't get that big *** sandwich size its too much

Now im cheap. I got cheap chips and drinks at home so I order it ahead and walk in and pick it up then roll my happy *** back to the house. Only problem is navigating those esplanades on 1960 from where I come from, I just go up atascocita and enter by regions. Zip up to the Wendy's and hang a left. It packs up at lunch so get in where u fit in and get out
