Price Notebook-Grocery Prices
I learned about this technique in a book called "The Tightwad Gazette" that was published many years ago. If you really want to beat high grocery prices then keep a price notebook. Track the prices with a spreadsheet, notebook, whatever and stock up on an item when it hits a really low price. You also have to be willing to shop at different stores. It does pay off but takes some time. Maybe even consider just tracking prices of the things that you consume the most like toilet paper, shampoo, etc.
