@eighteen : Did he pick out a picture of it in a book, or online? They can absolutely be in our area. May need to talk to a pest control specialist about treating your home. At least give your child some peace of mind.

Sounds about right, the little ones are orangish. If you get tagged by one it's equivalent to a bee sting. A neat thing about them is they fluoresce under black light. Turn the room lights off and a black light on. If he is there he will stick out like a sore thumb

I think it might've been a piece of food or something.

I don't know. I guess I'll wait for someone to get an indoor bee sting.

Found in front of the laundry area. Is it part of a scorpion or crawfish?

@eighteen : That's not a scorpion anything...bugs lose parts all the time (esp antennas), but this looks more like a dried up praying mantis leg.

Aliens

All I know is I'll likely burn the house down if I run across something like that in my house. I nearly did when I encountered one of those nasty flying roaches a/k/a a tree roach when I was in the bathroom. My dh does DIY pest control. I told him that he needs to spray the house asap. I can't handle this. (It has been a while since he sprayed.)

Last night I was ready to settle down for the evening and looking for a *possible* scorpion wasn't on the list. So today we've spent a lot of time cleaning and just getting organized in general.I mean, the last day of school was empty backpacks day and we spent the weekend away from the house. Monday everyone slept in. Tuesday was kind of lazy with let's get some **** done. Still haven't found anything, but really it could be anywhere at this point. We mainly looked up what they needed to survive. Of course lights were left on all ******* night. Can't wait to see the light bill. Today has definitely been filled with tons of multitasking.

Y'all pray for these kids this Summer. They tried to yell scorpion again. Now I think it's been a joke the whole time.Haha, I'm the one with the money and unlimited internet access to joke gift stores.
