Any reviews on Obsession?

I went in the theater after seeing all of the great rotten tomatoes reviews and it wasn't even great. And… yall… I watch A LOT of television/movies 🤣🤣 The acting was great, but it seemed like the plot just kept going in circles.

This is why I don't want to pay for it. I need to be able to turn that **** off if it sucks. 😂
Sometimes movies get so hyped up and I just don't see it. Weapons was supposed to be so wonderful but it was just meh to me. And halfway through you already found out what was going on.

Btw, I'm finally watching the limited series on Hulu about that nutcase, Candy Montgomery, who swung at (and connected with) her friend exactly 41 times with a wood-splitting axe (Collin County, TX - my stomping ground!). I was too sheltered young to remember that story, but my mom sure remembers it! 👀It wasn't stellar in terms of critic ratings, but an exceptionally well-done piece, imo. I'm pretty picky about films.

I've seen a dateline or something but not the show. I'm never too big on the dramatized versions. There is one, I think it's on Netflix, called something like Bad Nurse? That one was pretty good. I'll have to look to make sure that's correct. I actually watched it first then a doc version.

@MrsT : No, it's not a dramatized doc (🚪🚪🚪! Have we met? 😂). It's a fully scripted series with pre-ep disclaimers to that end. Candy is played by Jessica (always forget her name...Justin Timberlake's wife) and Betty is played by that stalker, Rose, from Two and a Half Men (😅).
I'll have to check out the Bad Nurse situation.

@MrsT : There's the added bonus of being able to pause and go to the bathroom when needed. I have fantastic La-Z-Boy recliners that are kind of media-room style with a large tv. Very rarely do I feel compelled to drive to a theatre, pay for a movie, wade through the commercials and trailers, etc.

Thanks for the review. I hadn't heard of this movie. Definitely sounds like one to wait for on Netflix.

I don't mean like a doc with dramatizations. I just meant a true crime story that's a scripted show. Some of them are pure cheese.
I've seen the trailer for that one, it def seems like cheese. 😂

Maybe camp is a better word? Like that one Renee Zellweger was in, The Thing About Pam. I prefer mine more serious.

There is another one that's pretty good about the people trapped in the hospital after Katrina. I can't remember the name of that one.
