@Catmae : Indeed that is my primary motive. But of course I read through chat topics , and of course I then began reading some of those discussions. This is all interesting so I am enjoying being here in a much more well-rounded way.

@RajunCajun : That was my first reaction when I started trying to solve for those daily words -- I gave up, thought it was too hard for me. After a couple of weeks curiosity made me tippy toe back to the Obfuscations game and try, try, again. Now I like it a lot!

@MooMaw : Oh, no! It should do the very opposite for you, help you focus and relax and enjoy your accomplishment when you succeed. When you don't succeed by the time midnight arrives, so what? You get to start again with a new word. And it is great brain exercise.

Hello! ADC is reminding me of my Girl Scout days when we often sang, "Make new friends but keep the old; one is silver and the other's gold." Seems like there's lots of both silver and gold here on ADC for me.

@Catmae : Awww, let go of the stress and just enjoy the activity. What's at stake? Not even any credits. Just fun. It's even fun when not be able to solve for one day's word and when that word is revealed at midnight to go back and see how the clues actually did provide effective crumbs to follow on the trail.
