Position Desired: Math Coach/Tutor

Cover Letter:
I am a certified teacher with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with a major in mathematics. I also have a Master of Science degree in Counseling. I have 30 years of experience in education and coaching.

I strive to vary my teaching style to meet the learning needs of individual students. I use a “coaching” style with students who I currently tutor and with students in my classroom. Since I understand the time consumption students face who are in extracurricular activities, I am offering very flexible scheduling. In addition, I am offering tutoring through the use of SKYPE, if needed, to eliminate the need for travel time to a location.

Because I realize students sometimes just need a hint or a nudge to move forward with homework or test preparation, I also encourage students to text me with quick questions.

I am passionate about helping people learn math and enjoy the journey. I am willing to help with 6th - 8th grade math, Algebra 1&2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, College Algebra, and College Trigonometry.
