Part-Time (weekend) Class C Groundwater Operator - Atascocita Job

Key Responsibilities
The Part-Time Class C Groundwater Operator may assist with:
• Daily inspection of water and wastewater facilities
• Monitoring plant operations, wells, pumps, motors, lift stations, and related equipment
• Recording meter readings, flow data, chemical usage, and operational logs
• Testing and monitoring chlorine residuals and other routine water quality items
• Assisting with wastewater treatment observations and reporting
• Responding to alarms, leaks, service issues, and operational concerns
• Performing basic maintenance and housekeeping at District facilities
• Following safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and District policies
• Communicating unusual conditions or emergencies to the appropriate supervisor

Skills Required:

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should have:
• Current TCEQ Class C Water Operator License
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Texas driver’s license
• Ability to work independently and follow written procedures
• Ability to maintain accurate records and daily logs
• Knowledge of basic water/wastewater plant operations
• Ability to respond to urgent operational needs when scheduled or assigned
• Ability to pass background checks

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with water districts, MUDs, WCIDs, or public utility systems
• Experience with lift stations, wells, pumps, motors, chemical feed systems, or SCADA
• Both water and wastewater licensing preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
