Help Wanted: ISO Tank Container Surveyor
We are a family-owned, professional company that inspects portable tanks at various depot locations. We have been in business for 25 years, and are accredited by the US Dept. of Transportation to perform these periodic safety inspections on transport equipment. The prospective candidate must have a good work ethic and be willing to learn rapidly. We will provide all the necessary training, support and equipment.
Education:
High School Graduate
Experience Desired:
Strong adherence to safety and industry standards.
Certification from recognized authorities in the industry preferred.
Non-Technical Competencies:
Able to quickly learn new skills and pick up on technical information from industry recognized bodies (IICL, PHMSA, ISO, ITCO)
Strong analytical skills applied to understanding technical and industrial equipment, and how they should look and function.
Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas.
Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise.
Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment.
Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and a problem solver.
Reliable transportation (required).
Physical Demands:
Required to drive frequently to different depot locations, climb on equipment and up small ladders, walk and bend.
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms to grasp.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Other Criteria:
Complies with Gold’s policies and safety procedures.
Able to travel out of state, up to 25% of the time, to Louisiana, Colorado, and other locations as needed once trained. Expenses and time are covered.
Complies with Gold’s Drug & Alcohol Policy maintaining favorable drug testing results throughout employment.
Performs job safely with respect to others, property and individual safety.
Works effectively with others to encourage teamwork and productivity.
Authorized to work in the United States.
