The Primrose School of Eagle Springs is currently seeking a Lead Teacher for our Explorers (school-age) program. This person will oversee our Summer Camp program (summertime) and before and after school program (during the school year), which includes planning and implementing the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum, for our school-age students ages 5-12. During the summer, this is a full-time position with the option to be full-time or part-time during the school year.

The Lead Teacher is responsible for general classroom management and supervision, which includes the personal care, hygiene, and positive discipline of the children. He or she plans and implements activities for children that stress physical, social, and emotional growth and provides materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in active play. The Lead Teacher prepares curriculum materials and classrooms for class activities and conducts all activities in a safe, organized, and productive manner.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in a licensed child care center and is familiar with Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards. Candidates must meet all state requirements for classroom teaching positions, must maintain state in-service requirements, and must be physically able to interact with children on a day to day basis (stoop and bend, lift up to 35 pounds, etc.). Certifications in Child/Infant CPR and First Aid, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and fingerprint-based background checks are required.
