A group of local musicians have banded together to bring live music to Kingwood in a way like never before.

The inaugural Kingwood City Limits (KCL) will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Kingwood Town Center Park.

Kingwood City Limits is the brainchild of members of several bands who decided Kingwood needed its own music festival. Co-founded by Whit McConnell of 51 Proof and Chris Vaughn of Headbangerz Ball, a committee was formed that includes John “DJ” Wisser of DadBod Band and Christy Archer Janacek of Christina Renee & The RETROspective to add live music and marketing expertise.

This family-friendly event at Town Center Park will also feature vendors and booths from local businesses around the Kingwood area. Tony Austin of Town Center Park said, “We are excited about hosting this community event where there will be food trucks, activities and, of course, great live music!”

We are so thankful for our sponsors for helping to cover the cost of putting on this event. “The bands are also working for free to help this event go and grow”, said John “DJ” Wisser of DadBod Band. “We just want to entertain Kingwood families and enjoy a nice Spring Day rocking the stage.”
