The Bond Proposition

Humble ISD’s bond election has one proposition. Voter approval will allow Humble ISD to issue $245 million in bonds. With this money, the plan is to build two elementary schools, construct a middle school, purchase land for two elementary schools and two middle schools, buy computers and expand technology infrastructure, and make facility improvements at existing campuses and support facilities. An eight-cent tax rate increase is projected if the proposition is approved by voters.

The proposition includes:

2 new elementary schools, 1 middle school and

land acquisitions for 4 schools.................................$ 96.4 million

Improvements at existing schools ...........................$ 52.1 million

Improvements at support facilities/programs .............$ 72.9 million

Computer purchases and technology improvements...$ 23.6 million

Total....................................................................$ 245 million
